thinking of the future

I will be 19 dis October. Next year I will be 20.. I cant imagine my life as a 20 year old girl. I'm still not matured yet. I have not enough life experiences to guide me through my journey. Why I said all this because a friend of my cousin had married last month. For your info, that girl is just 20 years old. My cousin is a year older than me. Wow, I was amazed at how fast she transformed to a new phase of her life, I mean from a bachelor to a wife in her 20. If it was me, I surely would not be ready. I believe our life has three phases. Firstly is the single phase which means playing time, then as a wife then lastly as a mother.you just need to be super-duper ready to enter the new phase of life. As for me, I'm still in the first phase and I'm not ready to enter the second phase. I dont know when I will but someday I will be ready.

Next year, a lot of things will change. I cannot write my age starting with number 1 anymore. people also will look at me as an 'adult'. I still cannot accept that I'm turning to 20..huhu..
I dont want to grow!! Growing is fun especially when we can learn more things and find more friends. However, growing also terrifies me. There will be more challenges for me in the future. there will be more unexpected things will occur. I am a little bit afraid to go through all this 'dugaan dan cabaran' . But, when I think about this, deep inside my heart, it tells me something.

"Whatever it is, I have to go through my life. I cannot run from any problems. I must face it. And I'm taking every single things happened to me as a lesson. Who knows it might be beneficial in the future. I must do what people call anjakan paradigma. (Sorry, I dont know its meaning in English =p) "

Phew! since when I like to think far??.. (",)

super junior eunhae...cutie :3

the gentleman version of Super Junior

Close up version
On first row starting from left: Leeteuk (leader), Heechul, Hankyung, Yesung, Kangin, Shindong, Sungmin
On second row starting from left: Eunhyuk, Doghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, Kyuhyun

Lately, I have been very addicted to the Super Junior from Korea. I really love their cute looks and hilarious personality. The group consists of 13 members starting from leeteuk (the leader) and ends with Kyuhyun. Quite a big number but yet they are soooooo adorable. I like to watch their variety or game show coz they are so funny and cheerful. Watching them in the show makes me bursts into laughter every 20 seconds.. haha..They are actually singers but not all of them can sing very well. Some dance very well and some sing very well. The collaboration makes them a great idol group.

This is Donghae..

More Donghae

I like Dong Hae the most. He sometimes can be funny and his charming point is his cute face
and his voice. He has a good voice and he dances well. His smile is charming too..

Innocent Eunhyuk

Second rank is Eunhyuk. I really like his innocent face when he jokes around. He is also cutie just like Donghae but his charming point is his dances. He even called the" King of dance" in Super Junior. He is the rap kid of the Super Junior. I also like his funny character. Sometimes I can even laugh just by looking at his face. hehe

kepada-Nya kita kembali

My grandmother had passed away last Saturday. I felt sad because it was too soon. She followed her husband who died 6 months ago. Our family had not fully recover from my grandfather's death and now... What makes me feel sad is that before this I always visit my grandma and take care of her since I'm on holiday. I saw myself her progression towards her last day. But I didn't expect that it will be this soon. It is right that "ajal dan maut di tangan tuhan" but sometimes we forgot that this is fate. Sometimes we tend to use the "if" word which is haram in islam. If only I could sense her time was close, I could had told all my siblings earlier.. The saddest thing is to see my uncle who is very depressed. He is the one who had been taking care of my grandparents since they had been sicked. He is really a very good son. He never complained of being tired or something like that. He is the one who will do anything for his parents. He even wants to buy a new car so that he can bring my grandmother comfortably as her medicines are too much that required an MPV to bring all of it. But now, she's gone. I cannot say that he couldnt accept that but maybe he feel terribly sad of her death. Plus my grandmother had been living with him for the past 2 years. Every night, he would "inspected" my grandparents, but now he can't do that anymore. When I went to his home last two days, he was still in sorrow. He cried and smoked a lot. My mother and my aunts were all worried about him. My aunt even gave him an anti-depressant to make him sleep. Seeing him like that makes me feel sad and wants to cry too. My mother is the toughest one. She didn't cry even a bit since my grandmother had passed away but according to my sis a.k.a psychiatrist, this type of person is the one who will be having a hard time in forgetting the sadness compared to the person who cries a lot who will easily forget the somber easily. Anyway, I hope my uncle will revive fast.

pre med - part 5

THE LAST WEEK

It was the last week I would be here for this course.. Sedar tak sedar, it had been 5 weeks already. the scariest thing is the exam on the friday. We didn't had much time for revision. During our foundation, we were given a week for revision but now we were given only one day to revise. how could we revise in one day?? Unfortunately, I had to accept that this is what medic is all about.. everything must speed up including revision. To top of that, we still had another syllabus on that last week and it was about the liver and gall bladder. It was interesting but yet lots of things to be remembered and learned and that topic will be tested on Friday of that week too. So, I had to cram up my brain with all this stuffs within the few hours of lectures.

The exam consist of three parts altogether. The first part is MCQ questions..Kind of easy, rite? Actually, it's not..Because marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. So we cannot use the principle that our former teachers told us during our secondary school which is " try to answer even if you don't know".. The reason is, doctors should not make wrong choices in real life. If we dont know, then dont try guessing. It's totally dangerous. The MCQ was held for 1 hour with 100 questions (see? I tell ya, it's not easy). Then after 10 min breaks, the essay question started. The essay consists of three questions, each on every subject: anatomy, physiology, biochemistry. We had to choose one question only. The exam is for 15 minutes. Then we have this test called OSPE. The exam had 20 stations with different kind of question and stimulus. Then we answered those questions in turn. One station is for 3 minutes. Here it goes. First we have to answer a question from one station. It does not necessarily to start at 1st station. It can be either the 20th station or any station too as long as we rotate and answer all the questions. As soon as the ring bells, wehad to switch to next station. It goes on like this until we answered all questions and returned back to our first station. Looks like fun, rite? It was fun though 3 min is a very short time. And the questions were actually simple yet confusing. That makes the exam difficult. I had done my best, so I hope I will get the "blue pen" result =D

10 AMALAN TERBALIK ~must read

2. Kalau hadir ke kenduri walimatul urus (kenduri kahwin) orang kerap salam berisi (hadiah wang yang diberi semasa bersalam). Kalau tak ada duit nak dikepit dalam tangan, maka segan ia nak pergi makan kenduri. Tetapi kalau ia menziarah orang mati, tidak segan pula salam tak berisi. Sepatutnya kalau menziarah keluarga si matilah kita patut memberi sedekah.

8. Semua ibubapa amat bimbang kalau-kalau anak mereka gagal dalam periksa. Maka dihantarlah ke kelas tuisyen walau pun banyak belanjanya. Tapi kalau anak tak boleh baca Quran atau solat, tak bimbang pula bahkan tak mahu hantar tuisyen baca Quran atau kelas khas mempelajari Islam. Kalau guru tuisyen sanggup dibayar sebulan berpuluh ringgit satu pelajaran 8 kali hadir tapi kepada Tok Guru Quran nak bayar RM15.00 sebulan 20 kali hadir belajar pun menggeletar tangan. Bukankah terbalik amalan kita?

9. Kalau bekerja mengejar rezeki Allah tak kira siang malam, pagi petang, mesti pergi kerja.

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.

That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognised his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?' The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way.' What he had written was:'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have.
Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.
Invite others towards good with wisdom.
Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you h av e 1000 reasons to smile.
Face your past without regret.
Handle your present with confidence.
Prepare for the future without fear.
Keep the faith and drop the fear.
The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…
And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!

DaRaH & KiTa

"DARAH A"

* I'm O-type person.. What about u?

FOURTH WEEK

Second last week was not very hectic. We learnt about gastrointestinal tract or commonly called GI tract. Not so much new things, because we already learned this during our secondary school. Just a few adds here and there. The schedule for this week also was not packed compared to the second week. Probably because the lecturers wanted to give us time to study as we will sit on the exam on the week after. I want to share a few things that I learned before. GI tract is a continues tube-like tract in the body begins at mouth and ends at anus and its function is to digest food and absorbs nutrient essential for the body. Those which are nonessential is eliminated through a process called deafecation. Digestion mostly occurs in the small intestine. In order to digest food, there were lots of muscle movements(peristalsis and segmentation) and secretions (saliva, gastric juice, pancreatic juice, bile) occured. The movements and secretions are controlled by the nervous system and also endocrine system. Apparently, the muscle movements are all involuntary reaction. However, some secretions are controlled by nervous and some are controlled by the endocrine system due to hormone regulation. The most common hormones involve in this process are Cholecystokinin (CCK), secretin, Gastrin and Gastric Inhibitory Peptide hormone. CCK stimulates the secretion of pacreatic juice and the contraction af gall bladder. Secretin stimulate the production of bicarbonate ion (to neutralise the chyme). Gastrin enhances the secretion of pepsinogen and HCl in gastric juice also stimulate the growth of stomach cell. GIP inhibits the secretion of Gastric juice (when no food enters).

pre med - part 3

THE THIRD WEEK

It was the "bestest" week of all the weeks although it was very tiring.. I had to woke up at 5 in the morning.. We had a round tour at Sg Buloh's hospital, Selayang's hospital and Primary Care clinic. We also need the signature of the dr that were responsible for our activities. I did had a lot of fun time there and of course there were bitter memories too. But I prefered not to remember the bad ones.

Going to Sg Buloh..yey!

Our first hospital was Sg Buloh's hospital. We were welcomed by nobody so we wandered around the hospital and lastly aour class rep asked the clerk in the office. Then, we were brought to the lecturers' office. We had a short chit-chat with Dr Omkara Rubini Lingam (I thought he was a "he" but apparently he had turned to "she"..hehe). Actually, she is the one who was in charge with our visit to Sg Buloh. The first day there had been the "capture photos" day. We were brought around the hospital, to several wards and to the lab clinic (the clinic used by medical students for their practical).

Tu sambut raya ke?? ~^
Girls are dominant and the power is in our hands..yeah!

Who's the patient???? Who's the doctor???
And we had been caught red-handed playing with the weelchair..
huhu..

We have to wear labcoats in the hospital.. *peace*
Who's that guy?? Couldnt see his face..
I guess the camere didnt like him..ahk2

I still remember this ENT specialist that was in charge of us in Sg Buloh, her name is Dr ruzanna I think. She was very kind towards us. She motivates to become a persistent dr in the future. The funny part was she had a lot of advices on our marital age, on how to be a good dr and a good wife and also how to choose a husband.. funny because i never think about that yet.. What I can say, she is a good dr.

On wednesday, we had our visit to Selayang Hospital. The surrounding was really different compared to sg Buloh. There were lots of medical student too. We could see medical students anywhere we go. We were welcomed by Prof Hashim, a gyne (thank God!) and we also attended his class with the 3rd year medical student. I felt awkward because we actually didn't involved in the class but we "WERE" in the class. The lecture hall was superb. There were video cameras on the ceiling and our face suddenly appeared on the scrin. haha.. Seems like stars..There was also a technician room at the back of the class. Just like the studio where the artist do recording. In other word, it was amazing and really comfortable compared to our current lecture hall. On top of that, we didn't understand what were they talking about. If I were the third year student, I will be very tense. Ya, you know when people watching, you will never feel normal, rite? Then we were split to 2 groups. I was in the first group. My group was supposed to have a tour in the medical ward. The doctor who was responsible to lead us is very handsome (that's the main point) and respectable although he is literally strict. "Dont touch my patient", "The patient's condition was confidential", "I cannot emphasize more on that".. Those were his words that he said repeatedly. But seriously, he is HANDSOME. (Oh, I fell in love with him..hehe). He let us to interview his patient. He also taught us the technique of interviewing the patient: What should be asked, what should not, how to ask systematically, what is the criteria needed to be asked to the patients and others. The experience of interviewing the patient was a memorable experience. Thanks to our patient who was very cooperative.

girls power at Selayang's lecture hall..
really BIG isnt it?

I am the technician woman..hehe (change profession)

In the evening, we were supposed to visit the surgery ward but somehow the lecturer werent there. We waited the whole evening for nothing. One sure thing is, waiting is really tiresome. We also lack one signature that day. huh!.. I was not sure if i like this hospital or not. On the next day, we had ou r visit to the peadiatrics and gynecologist wards. Both were interesting wards.the kids were so cute although they were sick. The labour rooms were fulled!! and we had ann experience of watching a newborn baby in the resuscitation room. It was really fascinating watching the baby squirmed. How small he is! This remind me to the powerful God who gives us life and capable of take that back anytime He wants. Unfortunately for the other group, they didnt had any tour at all on that day. There werent any lecturers came to them. They were really frustrated waiting or the whole day long for nothing.

Finally, the visit to hospital was finished. We also visit the primary care clinic in Tmn Ehsan, Kepong.. There were crowd of patients in the clinic. The purpose of going to this clinic is to brief us in the importance of primary care. The lecturer that gave the speech was handsome and he delivered it energetically. After that, we were allowed to tour around the clinic. We were also free to asked any questions to the waiting patients. The best part was when I was in the OPD (Out patient department). The dr asked us to help him..haha.. i felt thrilled..Unfortunately, we didnt take any photos there.. huhu
